Irish Producer/DJ John O’Callaghan has taken the world by storm over the recent years. First emerging around 2003 it took him only 5 short years to out grow his ‘next big thing’ tag and become a renowned as an A-list Producer/DJ. John has he picked up the ‘Best Producer’ and ‘Best DJ’ trophies at the Irish Dance Music Awards; decisively conquered the notoriously-competitive dance-testing ground of Ibiza and became the first Irishman to play Trance Energy.
In 2003 John caught his first DJing break playing on Ireland’s national radio station 2FM’s ‘Session Tour’ which was broadcast on New Years Eve. He has then gone on to playing in the world’s highest profile clubs and festivals including Ireland’s Planet Love, Global Gathering, Trance Energy, WMC Miami, South America Music Conference and Creamfields, amongst others. 2008 went down as John’s all important DJ breakthrough year. One that saw him play 6 nights on the White Isle, including Judgement Sunday & Armada at Amnesia, before going on in October to conquer Australia as part of Godskitchen’s infamous yearly nationwide tour.
Majority of his early work was done under John Askew’s Discover Records and more recently Armada Music. Paul Van Dyk to mark him “one of the most exciting producers in the world today”. Best known for his tracks Find Yourself ft. Sarah Howells & Big Sky ft. Audrey Gallagher which was voted A State of Trance Tune of the Year 2007, O’Callaghan has since gone on to produce 3 artist albums; Something To Live For (2007), Never Fade Away (2009) and Unfold (2011). John has also produced several mix compilation albums including Live As… Volume 2, Trance Energy 2009 CD1 & Subculture 09, 10 & 11.
