Markus Schulz and Ferry Corsten got together a couple months back and took over Godskitchen UK 2012 for a special back to back event. To mark the momentous occasion they gathered their EDM brains on a mission to bring back the classic trance sound. The outcome was a remake of Jens’ classic Loops and Tings.

Loops and Tings has been smashing the dancefloors across all countries in events such as Los Angeles ’12 release party, Corsten’s Countdown 250 and the A State of Trance 550 celebrations.

Loops & Tings will be available on Coldharbour Recordings from Monday May 28th.

A distance of several thousand miles hasn’t stopped the combined talents of Miami’s Tim Grube and Los Angeleno Mike Hovsepian developing a substantial following in whip-quick time. Grube & Hovsepian are back this month with their first song-based outing – the beautiful ‘Venom’, which features the siren-like vocal allure of Tiffany Johnston.

Since becoming part of Markus Schulz’s management project Schulz Music Group, Tim and Mike have performed the biggest gigs to date, including the release party for the ‘Los Angeles ’12′ album at Avalon and the WMC closing party at Space in Miami. A standout highlight in both of those sets was this precision cut slice of progressive trance.

The first release on the Audentity label is a new collaboration between Kay Wilder and Ernesto vs. Bastian. This combination has proven to be successful before and once again they succeed in delivering a fresh breath of trance energy with their “Forgotten Summer”.

Forgotten Summer will be released on May 14 2012 through Beatport.

I guess this puts to bed the supposed split.

The last 12 months has seen the Above & Beyond imprint unveil one of house music’s hottest new talents in Dusky, whose album ‘Stick By This’ has been acclaimed by everyone from DJ Magazine “an intoxicating album full of live and flashes of brilliance” to Pete Tong – with Tong naming it as one of his favourite albums of the year – while other Anjunadeep artists such as Matt Lange and Andrew Bayer on the label have blossomed.
