The 7th track from the Group Therapy album by Above and Beyond is On My Way To Heaven featuring vocals from Richard Bedford. Seems like the theme of Group Therapy seems to be getting over the hardships of life. In their interview they express how their songs have a deep meaning with their fans, as they come to the events having experienced these hardships.
The youtube clip misses quite a bit of the song, so get your hands on the album!
You always laugh, when I cry
I’m always looking to tomorrow
As you mourn the days gone by
You always tread on my toes
Look my guided hand of love
Is helping every where you go
I’m always wrong your always right
But I can see right through the lies
To the never changing light
Rain on me, my arms are cold
I want to get home
But there’s water on the road
And if I do you will not change
I’m just a singing satellite
In an orbit that is strange
I want to laugh, I want to smile
Get your arms inside my head
And stop me thinking for a while
I’m just a fool hung on a sting
But since you put these thorns around my head
You know I am a king, king
A king of everything and nothing
I’m on my way to heaven
I’m always here I’m in denial
When there’s nothing left between us
I will stay another while
You know your free
You’ve got your wings
And I am just another angel
With a voice who wants to sing
Yea yea yea almighty
On my way to heaven
Yea yea yea
I’m on my way to heaven
I want to cry, I want to steal
A little ray of perfect sunshine
From the sun above the hill
i guess all is right except the last line which is
“from the sun above the hill”
or at least this is how it sound for me
:)
Thanks lavi!
you welcome mate!
i think theres another mistake
I’m just a fool I am extinct
i dont sure if its “i am extinct”
couldnt figure it out though…
it’s ‘put these THORNS around my head’
Thanks!
Its not hung on a stage its im on a sting. I dont get how it is possible to get the lyric wrong while there is a cd out with a nice booklet having every lyrics. Unless the booklet is wrong but i doubt above & beyond would release a booklet with wrong lyrics ;).
Hey Kevin, thanks for your comment.
Unfortunately I didn’t get the deluxe edition and wrote the post quite a while ago so it was just my attempt at the lyrics.
