Roger Shah and Adrina Thorpe, the team that brought us the brilliant tracks Who Will Find Me & Back To You are back together for Shah’s artist album Openminded!? Island comes in two versions on the album, a club mix and an original slow paced version. The track is yet to be released but when it does it’s sure to be a hit.

Here’s some lyrics and a preview to keep you content for now. Are you a fan of balearic music? Share your thoughts below.

Hello, can you hear me?

One stone cold world, I see your silence
Maddens my heart, oh ten thousands words
Come raining down on your defences

Why do we fall into the same mistakes again
When will we learn
We can tame the beast, can catch the wind
Here’s the key

I am an island you are the sea
I am mystery
In this oasis we could be free
I am listening

This silent land lies undiscovered and neglected
Awaits impatiently for the lowering of the sea

Why do we fall into the same mistakes again
When will we learn
We can tame the beast, can catch the wind
Here’s the key

I am an island you are the sea
I am mystery
In the stone tower I throw you the key
Would you fight for me
In this oasis we could be free

I am an island you are the sea
Come wash over me
In the stone tower I throw you the key
Would you fight for me
In this oasis we could be free

These lyrics are inaccurate.

it says, “when will we learn we CAN tame the beast, CAN catch the wind” it only makes sense because the next line says “here’s the key”. You can tame the beast, can catch the wind, heres the key.

Would it make sense to say the opposite? You can’t tame the beast and can’t the wind, heres the key. No. Therefore its CAN, not can’t.

haha, I actually had it as this originally. I think it can work both ways. Guess i’ll change it back.

Thanks for your input.
